Welcome to The Authentic Space

A space to be as you are

Online Counselling

I offer online counselling sessions with flexible appointment times, including reduced daytime rates.

This allows you to access support in a way that fits around your schedule and circumstances. Sessions are fully online, so you can join from home or wherever feels safe and convenient for you.

Anyone who feels they may benefit from counselling is welcome.

What you may gain from therapy

Greater self-understanding

A space to explore your thoughts and feelings, and make sense of what’s going on for you.

A more stable sense of self

Feeling more grounded, consistent, and less pulled in different directions.

Living more in line with yourself

Making choices that feel natural, rather than shaped by pressure or expectation, and developing a stronger sense of your authentic self.

Counsellor based in Spain

Hi, I’m Yasmin.

I’m a fully qualified and insured person-centred counsellor and psychotherapist, registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I work in line with their ethical framework, ensuring professionalism, confidentiality, and a safe space for all clients.

I’ve always been interested in people — what shapes us, how we cope, and how we navigate life’s challenges. This curiosity led me to study psychology and into support work, where I’ve supported people experiencing addiction, trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and major life changes.

Alongside my professional experience, I also bring my own lived experience of challenges including PMDD, ongoing health conditions, grief, and adjusting to life abroad. I understand how complex and layered life can feel, and how difficult it can be to reach out for support — especially when barriers like cost or waiting lists get in the way.

Experiencing how transformative therapy can be, with the right therapist, is part of what led me to train as a counsellor. This, and my own life experience, is what shaped my commitment to offering a space that feels accessible, genuine, and supportive.

I practise person-centred therapy because I don’t believe people need “fixing”. Instead, I believe that with the right conditions — warmth, honesty, and acceptance — people can begin to understand themselves more deeply and move towards a way of living that feels more authentic and aligned.

How I work

I follow a person-centred approach, recognising that you know yourself best, and I walk alongside you as you explore what matters to you.

I provide a space where you can speak openly, be yourself, and be met without judgment. We work at your pace, focusing on your experiences, thoughts, and emotions. Together, we create the conditions for understanding and growth:

A real connection

A genuine working relationship where you feel comfortable and able to be yourself.

A place to start

You don’t need to have everything figured out before coming to therapy.

Being present

I aim to be open, focused, and engaged in our sessions.

Acceptance without judgement

You’re not expected to change or present yourself in a certain way.

Understanding your experience

We take time to explore what things feel like for you, not just what’s happening.

Feeling heard

The focus isn’t just on listening, but on helping you feel understood.

Introductory Call

I offer a free 15-minute introductory call. This gives us a chance to briefly meet, discuss what you’re looking for, ask any questions, and see whether working together feels right. I can also guide you through how online sessions work if you’re new to them.

Important for online sessions:

  • Please ensure a private space where you can speak freely
  • Make sure you have a reliable internet connection to support smooth video sessions

Get in touch

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions about how counselling works, or to arrange an initial assessment appointment. This enables us to discuss the reasons you are thinking of coming to counselling, whether it could be helpful for you and whether I am the right therapist to help.
